It has been known that 80% of couples` reason of infertility is an ovulation problem, blockage of the fallopian tubes, or a problem in sperm. Also, only 5%-15% of the cases` cause is unknown.       Reasons for Infertility in Men:   Having low sperm count or no sperm in your semen Having low sperm mobility in which your sperm doesn`t move well as expected Having abnormal sperm formation Having your sperm ducts blocked Drinking and smoking can affect the count of your sperm Men above the age of 40 have lower chance of fertility Because of injury in the testicles, being hot for too long, or being in contact with chemicals, your sperm count can drop and this can cause temporary infertility.       Reasons for Infertility in Women:   The most common reason for female infertility is that she doesn`t release an egg from an ovary (Polycystic ovary syndrome). Another reason can be the problems with fallopian tubes, the tubes carry the eggs from ovary to the uterus, get blocked by scar tissue because of an infection or endometriosis (the growth of uterus lining tissue outside of the womb) Women who are overweight or underweight and are smoking can have infertility problems. Above the age of 35 fertility chances can get low and after the age of 45 getting pregnant can be rare.       Men Infertility Treatment   In the case that the cause is a varicoele (having wide veins in the scrotum) or having a blockage in the vas defense (the tubes that carry sperm), Surgery is the best option. For treating the infection in the reproductive organs, Antibiotics can be used. For treating difficulties in having erections or ejaculation, Medications or Consulting can be the answer. For balancing low or high level of specific hormones your doctor can prescribe, Hormone Treatments.       Women Infertility Treatment   For helping women with ovulation or restoring the level of hormones, Fertility and Hormone Drugs can be effective. For removing the tissue which is blocking fertility or for opening the blocked fallopian tubes, Surgery can be the best available option.             Other way for treating the infertility is Assisted Reproductive Technology or ART that includes these types:   IUI (Intrauterine Insemination): in the time that the patient is ovulating, sperm gets collected and inserted inside the patient`s uterus.   IVF (In vitro fertilization): first the sperm and egg get collected and combined together in a laboratory, then they let the egg to grow for 3 to 5 days. Afterwards, the embryo gets inserted inside the patient`s uterus.   GIFT (Gamete intrafallopian transfer) and ZIFT (Zygote intrafallopian transfer): after having the sperm and egg collected, it gets placed inside a fallopian tube. With using GIFT both of egg and sperm get placed in fallopian tube, and with ZIFT after the sperm and egg combined, the fertilized egg gets placed in the tube at 24 hours.   Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI): is the method used for male identified infertility. In this procedure, a mature egg is chosen then a single sperm gets injected to it.
